NEW PEOPLE - Chambers welcomes Laura Barrie, Matthew Brooks and Stephen Bishop as new members. Some professional clients will already be familiar the work carried out by Laura, Matthew and Stephen as pupils in chambers. We are delighted they have accepted invitations to join us.

We are very pleased to announce that Lyall Thompson (1995 call) joined our criminal practice team on 1 June 2008. Lyall has a well-established prosecution practice in substantial cases. He also accepts defence work.

Chambers has a new General Manager, Garry Ford. Garry has 25 years' experience of management, most recently in chambers in Leeds. His practical experience is backed by academic study and qualifications. His remit is to support our staff in achieving their potential and to consolidate the changes which we have undertaken to the structure of chambers.

JUDICIAL APPOINTMENT - Chambers congratulates former member Richard Williams on his appointment as new Supreme Court Judge in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Hon. Richard Williams has been Chief Magistrate on Providenciales for the past four years. Justice Williams took up his new position on 14 May 2008.
